When you feel like going out.
Hočko Pohorje is a base for skiing, cycling and hiking, and Maribor is just 15 km down the hill. The host is happy to recommend restaurants, wine cellars and trails.
Areh and the ski slopes
Pohorje with Areh is the largest winter resort in Slovenia: around 42 km of slopes, 17 lifts and more than 7 km of floodlit runs for night skiing. Bolfenk and Rogla are a short drive away.
Bike park and cycling
Bike Park Pohorje has trails from easy to Red Line and World Cup, plus a pump track by the lower gondola station. Bikes can be rented at the house.
Skalca waterfall and hikes
Streams, waterfalls and lakes. The Skalca waterfall and many hiking trails start right around the house.
Maribor, 15 km
Maribor's food trail, walks along the Drava, the Dravska vila boat and wine tastings in the surrounding wine region. The Pohorje treetop walk is about an hour's drive.

House rules and terms.
Arrival and departure
Check-in from 15:00 to 22:00 (please let us know your arrival time). The host welcomes you in person and shows you the swim spa, hot tub and sauna. Check-out from 08:00 to 10:00.
Minimum stay
At least two nights. The house sleeps up to 6 guests.
Tourist tax
€2.50 per adult per day and €1.25 for children aged 7 to 18. Charged on the day of departure.
Smoking and pets
Smoking is not allowed in the house. Pets are not allowed.
Visitors and parties
The stay is for registered guests only. Visitors and parties are not allowed.
Cancellation and rebooking
Payments are not refunded on cancellation. You can move your booking once if you tell us at least 14 days before arrival; choose a new date within 6 months. In case of force majeure (illness, natural disaster) we allow rebooking with proof.
On arrival
We need an ID document for registration. Because the house is in the forest, security cameras are installed outside. The one-off final cleaning is €50.

Is the wellness really just for us?
Yes. The swim spa, hot tub and infrared sauna are exclusively for your party throughout your stay.
Can we use the swim spa in winter?
Yes. The pool is heated and covered by a pergola, so guests use it all year round, even when there is snow all around.
Can I book and pay directly on the website?
Yes. In the Booking section you choose your dates, see the price and pay through our Bentral booking system. You receive a confirmation by email.
What is the minimum stay?
Two nights.
How far is Maribor?
About 15 km. The nearest airport is Graz, 70 km away.
Can you arrange anything extra?
